Join Baobab
By Joining Baobab You Can:
Make Real & Radical Connections
Our members are formed of Black and Global Majority individuals working across every area you can imagine. From Disability Services to LGBTQ+ rights and Climate Justice. Together we are building the worlds we need from collective organising into powerful joint movements for change.
Share the Journey
Joining our membership will mean being welcomed into a Black-led network building collective power, sharing knowledge and resources as well as deepening Disability Justice in our everyday work and lives. Expect journey-sharing, songs, shared reflection and encouragement as we work towards collectively dismantling the oppression we continue to refuse.
Experience Solidarity in an Aligned Space
We welcome people from all different journeys into our space and ask our members to show up in community-led frameworks. You can connect with other movement-focused activists and movement-builders using our members platform and at our monthly Zoom meetings. Our space-sharing is informed by decolonialism, Black Feminism and Disability Justice. All of our members' meetings are British Sign Language (BSL) interpreted. Every membership meeting and event is grounded by our Community Guidelines.
Learn, Laugh and Free up Yourself!
We do things our way – we’re not afraid to laugh, cry, draw on our roots and unapologetically centre the Black heritage and practices that form our identities. From music to breathing spaces, we make all of our membership meetings and events our own.
